This week's Points racing saw a common theme across all broadcast divisions in Europe & Americas. The races blew up continually reducing the field into sprints for points around Urukazii. Followed by cagey tactics matches for the final FAL points at the finish line, Round 1 did not disappoint!
-The Open EMEAE East Division 1 B had a great showing from Eric Schlange [Dirty Beast Kraken] at Zwift Insider taking early points across Country Sprint reverse only to be thwarted by a system crash :( Youtube sensational raging included as he was streaming! This gave way to Foudre Bergerac & SZ Sleipner to dominate the rest of the race and stay on top at the end of for 1st & 2nd respectively.
- In Women's EMEAE East Division 1 B Synergy Speed was a furious pace from the start in what seemed an attempt to fatigue or reduce the filed for a break, perhaps looking for a points advantage thru sheer number reductions. CMC Lionesses were most consistent on the day with 3 members representing the front group, Laurel Halsey [CMC] & Danica Botes [CMC] their most consistent riders across points & finish line, while Ina Midgley [CMC ] held on for a pack finish to the line, this kept the team distanced in points from 2nd place Opera eSRT & 3rd place Dragon PB Sunweb Ladies who were only separated by 1 POINT when the dust settled on racing for the day! Shoutout to Kristina Kremer [Dragons] & Emelie Sjogren [eSRT] who duked it out non-stop all day to keep that 2nd and 3rd team placing so tight!
- Women's EMEAE Central Division 1 B from the "Wyrd" go Crushpod WYRD, the league leaders after round 1, were not here to play around as it became obvious this was going to be a race for 2nd with the remaining teams, as it was carnage thru each sprint point. Karoline Staßßer [Crushpod] , Joanne Ernst [Crushpod] were dominating forces for sprint points while Margaux Jacquet [Crushpod] seemed to be saving it for the finish, taking the uphill sprint for the finish line. With what was left of the points The Herd of Little Penguins were most consistent led by An Lens [Little], Joke Breyne [Little] & Marjolein de Vliegher [Little] taking 2nd place for the team on the day, while Team NL Ladies were on their heels, led by a phenomenal 3rd overall in total points by Larissa Heiboer [Team NL]
Honorable mention goes out to Rose McGovern[AEO] for keeping Aeonian Bandidas in the mix for 4th place team. Rose held onto the group to the finish & obtaining big FAL points at the line with a second place for the scratch on the day!
- Open EMEAW Central Division 1 B as the dust settled on points, the race was contended closely by the top 6 teams in this Division. A 53 point spread between 1st to 7th place was all that remained on Tuesday in the Open B category. RR Sumatran Rhinos had an early standout performance in Craig Hannah [RHINO] taking a dominating solo lead in the FTS sprint points, yet, falling short in finish line points with the team only securing 6th. Team Maison Du Velo | In-Gear Cycles [MDVIG] who had Rich Birkett's [MDVIG]' attack late for a finish line win keeping MDVIG in 7th place within top ten. 3rd thru 5th went to Harder Than Last Time [HTLT], Velosirabtors [Velos], & The Big Ring 48T [TBR 48T] each respectively. Mason Laube [HLTL] was able to eek out 2 extra FTS with 39 points over Antti Järvinen [Velos] at 37 points & Ben Jackson [TBR48T] at 34 Points. TBR48T team finished most consistently across the finish line, perhaps giving a false sense of hope for a podium, as Sprint points got the better with Marioo Slim [Velos] & Greg Doucette [HLTL] besting TBR48T with early FTS & FAL points. The honors on the day for 1st & 2nd place were decided by 1 point with TFC Bugatti led by Dean Hardie outplaying their top rival Lee Griffiths of the Wahoo Le Col Wahooligans .

-In Open Americas East Division 1 B, Bullet "J" Stevens [Team CLS] led the charge next to teammate Steve Connor [Team CLS] in a battle for points against On The Rivet Boosts Duncan Johnson. Johnson who dominated the points chart for top individual, accumulated the bulk of his bounty in pure speed thru FTS, helping OTR Boost to secure 2nd place, just 1 point shy of Team CLS . While Team CLS teamwork landed them 1st place, Draft B rounded out the top 3 led by Derek D. Angelo & Ned Bowen.
